Spent a few days in Barcelona; six days actually.  Well; what to say?  It's pretty different from belgium; architecturally first; then the lifestyle... it's a different world.  Although Catalogna seems to have the same issues as belgium with languages; a split between spanish and catalan making some indications look redundant to the tourist... sortida/salida eheh... not better than sortie/uitrit in belgium.

 

Overall the weather was nice; a constant 28-32 degrees; nice sun; few clouds; only rained once and at night... that made for a refreshing morning: we left our shoes out on the balcony every day; but that morning our feet were a bit cold :D

 

The return travel was a bit worrying; after the indonesian aircraft crash we were not too confident in the flight; our plane was a 737-300, the indonesian one a 737-200; there's about 15-20 years of technology difference between those two models (the 300 being produced between 1984 and 1999; while the last 200 was created in 1971).  The plane was delayed a bit; then the take off seemed a bit rough compared to the first flight from belgium to spain; but everything went fine and we were quite happy to hit the ground at Zaventem 2 hours later :D

 

Now to save some money and decide for the next location... probably somewhere around eastern europe; or a more cosmopolitan trip to London or Paris
